Must Miss TV!

I was thinking that maybe ‘Hate’ was a strong word. We do not really hates CS. But, after reading today that he is joining the cast of Celebrity Apprentice, It reminded me why I have these feelings. So many poor choices, Curtis.

First it was his own TLC reality show, Take Home Chef. That was cool, whatever. Then, he started making appearances on the Today Show. THEN he decided to go to Frisco instead of Houston? What the what! Now this? He will be competing against other reality show whores like Bret Michaels and Sharon Osborn – he has no chance.

Rap 101

New Year’s resolutions are so lame. Lose weight, take better care of yourself, spend more time with family, blah, blah, blah. Big Al (creative as always) has broke the mold and decided that her New Year’s resolution is to listen to Rap. Which I think makes sense because it is very foolish to pimp a black caddy with peanut butter interior while jamming Ronny Millsap or Dire Straits.

I am a true friend so I am going to support her by suggesting a few of the best Rap songs ever so she can begin her journey into the diverse genre of Rap. Now, I am a Houston girl representing the dirty south and so it will show in my song pics, so I will defer to Joc to finish the list.

1. Damn it Feels Good to be a Gangsta- Geto Boys. The lyrics of this song are basically a tutorial on being a ‘Gangsta’ so I suggest listening and studying this song first.
2. Like a Boss- Slim Thug. A true Houston hero, Slim Thug has a lot of street cred. He only raps because it is very lucrative. I could go on and on, but I won’t. True story - our husbands went to high school with him!
3. Hoodie-Hoo- Outkast. Before there was Hey Ya, or Ms. Jackson, there was Southernplayalisticadillacmuzic.
4. And we can not mention Outkast without mentioning another Rapper from Altanta- Luducris. My favorite Ludacris song has to be Get Back. The perfect song to P90X to. I turn down the volume on the TV and crank up my ipod, and imagine I am side-kicking Tony*.

*Hostility on this blog is typically reserved for Curtis, but Tony is next (that is right TH- I am going to Wacky-Jack you up!).

Happy New Year!!!

Dear Curtis Stone,

I trust your New Year’s Eve was adequate. I thought maybe you’d show up to our party as a way to say, “Sorry for being the biggest disappointment of your year ladies, let me make it up to you by surprising everyone and joining you in the hot tub.” But, true to form, you weren’t able to make it. What. A. Surprise. Well Curtis, it’s a new year and I’m turning over a new leaf. So in honor of the beginning of what is going to be the most kick-ass year ever, I’d like to start off by stating my New Year’s resolution: Don’t make a New Year’s resolution this year. I am awesome and I have already completed this resolution, and it’s only January 2nd. See? Most kick-ass year ever.
